Refund Policy

Learn about refund options offered by World's Marathons. 


1. World's Marathons 24-hour cancellation policy

All orders placed at World's Marathons come with a 24-hour refund policy that guarantees a free refund of total order value up to 24 hours after the order was placed, given that the event will not take place within the next 7 days.

In order to cancel the order, it is required to log in to the user's account. It is possible to create an account after the order has been placed. 


Direct links to the refund page can be found in the Receipt email and Order Confirmation email that are sent shortly after the order has been placed.

Money is usually refunded within 10 business days.


2. Refundable Booking

When you upgrade your registration to a Refundable booking you can receive a 100% refund if you cannot attend the event and can evidence one of the many reasons in the wording of the cover, which you accept when adding a Refundable booking add-on to your order.

Make sure that you have your order number handy. You can find it in your order confirmation email. Runners who placed the order can also find this number in their receipt and within orders in the user's account.


Some scenarios which are covered but not limited to:

  • Illness / Injury (including Covid-19)
  • Pre-existing Medical Condition
  • Adverse Weather
  • Scheduled Airline Failure
  • Private Vehicle Failure
  • Pregnancy Related Conditions
  • Armed Forces & emergency Recall
  • Jury Services
  • And many more.

Your Refundable booking cover can not exceed 18 months from the date originally booked to the conclusion of the transacted event. It is important to remember this in case you decide to defer or if your registration is deferred automatically by the organiser.


3. None of the previous cases 

In case it is already past 24 hours from your order, and you have not purchased the Refundable booking upgrade add-on, the refund request falls under the event organiser's specific cancellation policy. That will differ between each individual event organiser and their Refund Policy. Due to this, it is not guaranteed that you will receive a refund for the cancellation.

To request a cancellation of your order, please write directly to the organiser of the event in question. The organiser's email address can be found in the confirmation email.


4. World's Marathons Gift Card

World's Marathons Gift Cards are not refundable. Once you purchase one of our Gift Cards it needs to be claimed within 24 months and a reimbursement is not possible under any circumstances.

5. Add-on products and services.

When registering to an event on our platform, you may be offered to purchase an add-on product (for example iTAB) or service (for example Refundable Booking). 

    1. The Refundable Booking service fee is non-refundable after 24 hours from your order. This means that even if you receive a full or partial refund of your event fee, the Refundable Booking fee will not be refunded. This is because the fee is transferred to the service provider in exchange for the service that starts after you register.
    2. iTAB medal attachments are non-refundable after 24 hours from your order.

      In case of event cancellation or if you can't attend, receive an iTAB Lifetime Credit. Use it for any future event you join. After your next event, submit your finish time and details, and your engraved iTAB will be sent to you as usual. More information about refund can be found on iTAB Refund & Returns Policy
