Inclusion and Content Policy

At World's Marathons, our goal is to celebrate the global endurance community by helping athletes discover and participate in inspiring, inclusive events around the world.

To maintain a platform that is open, respectful, and welcoming to all, we apply a set of guidelines when deciding which events to list and feature.

What We Aim to Include

We list events that:

• Are open to all participants regardless of background, belief, or identity.
• Promote sport, health, and community participation.
• Provide accurate, transparent event information for runners.
• Are real, verifiable events organised by legitimate organisers.

Events We Avoid Listing

We may choose not to feature events that:

• Are organised or promoted by groups primarily focused on political, religious, or ideological advocacy.
• Are directly associated with conflicts, active war zones, or disputed territories, where participation may pose ethical, political, or safety concerns.
• Are linked to organisations or causes centred on social or moral issues that may cause division in society.
• Contain themes, messaging, or sponsors that may reasonably be viewed as exclusionary or divisive.

Our Approach

Each event is assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account multiple factors such as location, organisational background, and event messaging.

While we strive to apply these standards consistently, the global endurance landscape is complex and dynamic. We acknowledge that some events may appear on our platforms before concerns are identified.

When such cases arise, we review and, where appropriate, update or remove listings as soon as possible.
